In September of 1983 the ‘Tween School ‘n Home Child Care Program (TSNH) began under the supervision of Shaker Road School in Concord. We opened our doors at the Hopkinton Community Center with an enrollment of six children and staff of one. In January of 1984, the Program was incorporated as the second after-school program in the State of New Hampshire. TSNH founders, Rose Pound and Linda Ottery, envisioned an economical, quality child-care program to help parents avoid leaving children at home alone.
TSNH is a private, community-based, state-Licensed-Plus, non-profit organization. We are committed to providing safe, educational, and fun-filled after-school care to children in grades K through 6 living in the Hopkinton School District.
Children experience a setting which stimulates their imagination and creativity under the guidance of an extended family setting through a staff of teachers as educators, and high school students in a big brother/big sister role.
We maintain a staff to child ratio of 1:10 and are licensed to serve 75 children a day.
The mission of TSNH is to provide a safe, educational and fun-filled after-school experience to children in grades K through 6 living in the Hopkinton School District through a setting which stimulates their imagination, creativity and sense of adventure.
We believe children thrive in a caring learning environment where they are appreciated as individuals and treated with respect and dignity. We strive to provide engaging activities that inspire children to explore and grow. Through a balance of child and teacher directed activities our staff is committed to providing a positive experience for all children. TSNH is a community where families and children feel welcome, valued and included.

Tween School N' Home is a lifesaver. It's great for the kids to have time to decompress after
school in a safe environment by running free, playing games, making crafts or doing quieter
activities. It's really individualized so kids can find a station where their energy level is at that
time of the day. ~Karin
TSNH is my son's home away from home, staff are like family. I have no doubt they love him, and he loves them! ~Moira
Tween School and Home After School Program is a gift to our children and community. I am so thankful for the commitment and hard work JoEllen and her team put into this program each and everyday. ~Eridana
We are so lucky to live in a town that has an afterschool program like TSNH. ... The staff does
an excellent job of offering multiple “extra” activities that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to fit in
our schedule (music, taekwondo, yoga), as well as keeping the kids happy and engaged with
the everyday projects and activities. TSNH is an excellent program, and we are so happy our
kids have been able to be a part of it. ~ Courtney
When I arrive to pick up my son and he says: “just five more minutes!” I know that I’ve found the best place for him to be after school. I am so thankful to the fun and caring staff of TSNH. ~Christine
Tween School 'n Home is a wonderful after school program run by dedicated, experienced staff. The program offers many different activities that are selected based on the kids and their interests...Many days my girls talk more about what they did in the afterschool program than what they did in school. I enjoy walking in to pick up my kids and seeing them participating in hands on crafts, activities or games and just having fun. ~Michelle
The TSNH program has been such a blessing for our family. Our daughter started at TSNH the first day of Kindergarten and now, 5 years later, she still loves going every day. The staff is incredibly creative, fun and kind....We feel extremely lucky to have this wonderful program in our town and truly do not know what we would do without it. ~Courtney
The kids have made pals they might not otherwise have made in the classroom, and our daughter has so much fun she usually doesn't want to leave until the very last child she can play with has gone. ~Karin
The program is more than just a place for the kids to hang out until I can pick them up - it's a place where they continue to learn and grow. I can't recommend this program, and staff, enough! ~Michelle
